Introducing a poignant and visually evocative series in my portfolio—recipe books meticulously designed to navigate Israeli trauma. Delving into the post-trauma landscape, including the Holocaust and Israel's early immigration, this project merges innovative design with a profound narrative.
Crafted using a unique technique of hot glue lettering, each book becomes a testament to resilience. my main and leading booke titled "The shit is in the Present," unearths the realm of military post-trauma. It shares the stories of mentally injured individuals in the Israeli army, intertwining their experiences with comforting recipes, coping strategies, interviews, and articles.
This work serves as a beacon of awareness, shedding light on "transparent diseases" that often go unnoticed. Through design, I strive to foster empathy and understanding, echoing the stories that shape our world.
